Committee and Administrative Assistant:

$ $36.96 per hour (2023 rates)


The Committee and Administrative Assistant position will be involved in providing a variety of support services to several Committees, Commissions and Board of Variance.

The Committee and Administrative Assistant is responsible for coordinating meeting arrangements; preparing agendas and supporting materials; compiling a variety of meeting material; providing assistance to internal and external stakeholders; taking and distributing minutes; and drafting correspondence and reports.

In addition, the Committee and Administrative Assistant provides assistance on procedural guidance during such meetings and follow-up on actions and decisions of Committees, Commissions and Board of Variance, as appropriate.


The Committee and Administrative Assistant will also be required to assist the mayor with preparation of routine scheduling, meeting set up, and special event coordination; assist members of council with conference and event attendance.


A 2-year diploma in office administration or related field, plus three years office administration experience is required, or an acceptable combination of experience, education, and training.

A Local Government Administration certificate would be considered an asset.
