LeverageTek is actively seeking a HR Manager for a permanent position with its Ottawa-based customer.

Work LocationThe successful candidate will be required to work on-site at the customer headquarters in Ottawa, ON, on a hybrid basis.

Language RequirementsBeing bilingual in French and English is considered an asset.

Key TasksThe Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of HR Generalists and ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of day-to-day HR operations.

The Manager supports the HR Director to ensure that HR is aligned with and meeting organizational priorities and goalsSupport the development and active implementation of key strategic HR initiatives, policies, and programsOversee a small team of HR Generalists, providing guidance, coaching and support in many of the functional areas of HR, including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, leave and accommodation administration, benefits administration, recognition, and wellness, etc.

Manage the workflow and work distribution of the team to ensure objectives are being metProvide guidance and support to managers and team leads across the organization on best practices for addressing employee issues such as disciplinary action, progressive discipline, attendance, conflict resolution and terminationsOversee and promote the employee performance framework that includes regular and ongoing coaching and feedback and a supportive performance improvement approachDirectly manage complex employee relations issues and concernsWith the support of the team, responsible for the maintenance and functioning of the HRIS system, ensuring accuracy of information and preparation of reportsEnsure HR compliance with health & safety, employment, and record-keeping requirementsActive participant in the DEI Committee, lead DEI-related HR initiativesWork closely with the Director in the areas of job design and evaluation, compensation management, and talent developmentProvide recommendations on how to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the HR team, as well as recommendations on how to continue to build upon the overall existing HR frameworkSupport the Director, and others within the organization on key projects and initiatives as they develop QualificationsYou have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior generalist human resources role, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory/management roleYou have relevant post-secondary education, such as a degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, or an equivalent of education and experienceYou have previous demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring both employees and leadersYou have achieved your CHRP/CHRL designation or are actively working towards thisYou have previous experience managing and maximizing benefits of an HRIS (currently using HUMI), and a basic understanding of payroll systemsYou have very strong interest and ability to keep up to date with applicable employment legislation including Ontario Employment Standards, Occupational Health and Safety, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities, Human Rights and if you also have knowledge of Quebec legislation in these areas that is a strong assetYou have strong project management experience, working cross-functionally with various internal and external stakeholders and subject matter expertsYou have a strong general understanding in MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams AssetsYou are bilingual and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English and French, while French is not required, this is highly preferred About LeverageTek IT SolutionsThank you for taking the time to apply Since our company's inception in March 2003, LeverageTek IT Solutions has worked resolutely to become one of the industry's most recognized and trusted suppliers of technology staffing and business consulting services.
