Human Resources Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Talent Acquisition and Retention:
· Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract and retain skilled construction professionals.

· Manage the entire R.O.T.O.R. system deployed by Paul Davis as part of our Human Resource management strategy.

· Conduct new employee criminal background checks and motor vehicle report checks

2. Compliance and Safety:
· Ensure all HR practices comply with state and federal laws, especially those related to safety in the construction industry1.

· Conduct regular safety training and certification updates for employees2.

3. Employee Engagement and Well-being:
· Implement programs that enhance employee engagement and promote a healthy work-life balance.

· Address employee relations issues and foster a positive work environment.

· Coordinate PD employee recognition for personal celebrations and professional acknowledgements.

· Coordinate and track PD employee training programs and schedules.

· Coordinate employee exit procedures and schedule exit interviews

4. Conflict Resolution:
· Mediate disputes and resolve conflicts within the workplace, maintaining a focus on fair and ethical treatment for all employees3.

5. Strategic HR Management:
· Align HR strategic goals with overall business objectives.

· Analyze HR metrics and design strategies to improve workforce efficiency.

· Analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates.

6. Training and Development:
· Oversee training programs to ensure employees are qualified for their roles and have opportunities for career advancement.
· Facilitate the update and organization of PD job descriptions.

7. Other Duties
· Assimilate the function of Office Management under the HR role.



SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:



· Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or similar experience.

· Proven experience as an HR Manager, preferably in the construction industry.

· In-depth knowledge of HR principles, functions, methods, and best practices.

· Solid understanding of labor legislation and payroll process.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Paylocity experience a plus.

· Aptitude in problem-solving.
· Adherence to strict confidentiality expectations.
· Excellent at conflict resolution, negotiation, and employee relations.
· Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity.
· Consistent application of all company policies regardless of anyone's position in the business.

· Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business strategy.

· Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.

· Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human resources.

· Build up the resources to effectively manage all office operations.
