Position Highlights
We are currently looking to fill a position as a

Regional Practice Lead, Research and Knowledge Translation located in

Ridge Meadows Hospital in Maple Ridge, B.C. This Relief Full Time position is available until March 2025.

Use your knowledge and translation expertise to support achievement of Fraser Health's Virtual First vision and goals.

The Virtual Health Regional Practice Lead works in partnership across the organization to lead, cultivate, and facilitate a range of knowledge translation activities, enhancing the use of evidence in practice and decision-making related to virtual care.

The Lead supports FH teams through mentorship, guidance, support, and expertise in knowledge mobilization and research-related activities.

Supervises and manages knowledge mobilization and research-related (funded and unfunded) activities; promotes collaborative research partnerships; and works with other Health Authorities in BC to capitalize on province-wide research and knowledge translation opportunities.

The Regional Practice Lead, Research and Knowledge Translation practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by their own professional College.

The Regional Practice Lead works in partnership across the organization to lead, cultivate, and facilitate a range of knowledge translation activities, enhancing the use of evidence in practice and decision-making.

The Lead is an advocate and active role model for scholarly practice, raising the profile and engagement of research, evidence-informed practice/decision-making, and knowledge translation in the geographic area.

The Lead services Fraser Health broadly by supporting individuals and teams, within and across Fraser Health, through the provision of mentorship, guidance, support, and expertise in knowledge mobilization and research-related activities and functions as an expert and liaison to the research community provincially and nationally.

The Lead is responsible for supervising and managing knowledge mobilization and research-related (funded and unfunded) activities; promoting collaborative research partnerships; assisting in the development of policy, procedures, and guidelines related to implementing research evidence into practice; and working with other Health Authorities in BC to capitalize on province-wide research and knowledge translation opportunities.


Responsibilities:

1. Knowledge Translation

Leads activities to promote knowledge mobilization, including:

  • Supporting LTC care home leadership and staff and physicians to integrate research evidence into practice.
  • Developing strategies for the participatory and active dissemination and uptake of research findings.
  • Providing consultation, education, and support for integrated knowledge translation of key evidence for the advancement of practice, improvement of population health, and/or
