With direction from the Manager of Sales Enablement and Manager of Sales Training, your responsibilities would include providing industry-based training to the various pre and post-sale teams.

The Industry Sales Trainer will recognize industry training needs and build programs for onboarding & continuous learning, as well as keep our team members informed of industry trends.


What you'll do:

  • Develop comprehensive training programs and materials tailored for the various roles within the sales team, focusing on the features, benefits, and value propositions of our MaintainX within the manufacturing context.
  • Build and maintain an industry knowledge base to support our sales onboarding program in order to get new hires up to speed on the industry quickly.
  • Conduct engaging training sessions and workshops live and within our Learning Management System (LMS), to educate our sales teams on product knowledge, industry trends, and effective selling techniques related to our target industries.
  • Collaborate closely with the enablement & training team, as well as the product and marketing teams to stay abreast of our product roadmap, product enhancements, and competitive insights; and incorporate relevant information into training collateral.
  • Provide ongoing support and coaching to sales representatives across all sales teams, offering guidance on customer engagement, objection handling, and closing strategies specific to the manufacturing and wider facilities management sectors.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives through performance metrics and feedback mechanisms, making adjustments as needed to optimize learning outcomes and sales results.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in the CMMS space as well as manufacturing and facilities operations, and share relevant insights with the sales team to enhance their expertise and credibility.

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related field.
  • Three (3) years in a sales training role, preferably within the manufacturing or technology sector.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing facility is highly desirable.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
