Position OverviewThis role entails overseeing and managing Hydro One's key strategic projects and ensuring successful strategy implementation. The position involves collaborating with project leads, sponsors, and senior management, playing a pivotal role in the day-to-day functions of the strategy implementation office.
Responsibilities
  • Select strategic projects that add value and align with business objectives, coordinating with the Strategy Implementation Office (SIO). Provide recommendations to the Director of Tx Pursuits & Partnerships.
  • Manage the portfolio and report on the progress of SIO projects, ensuring alignment and coherence. Generate monthly reports for the executive team.
  • Establish governance frameworks for all SIO projects, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Regularly engage with project leaders to offer guidance and ensure successful project outcomes, emphasizing the realization of benefits.
  • Facilitate the exchange of best practices and insights across all business units.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Preferably holds an MBA.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience in a strategy implementation office or the utility sector is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and extensive project management expertise.
