Job description

Key Responsibilities:

Ø Flexible and adaptable to support the ever changing and ongoing needs of the individuals.

Ø Encourage and influence a healthy lifestyle i.e.

promote healthy eating, incorporating exercise into daily routines, seek out and provide daily activities that are engaging and work for that individual at that time.

Ø Administering medications and looking after medical needs.

Ø Adhere to individual's schedules, diet, chore and daily care routines

Ø Provide meals/snacks, ensuring that diet restrictions limitations are followed.

Ø Assist where necessary with personal care routines, such as toileting, bathing and grooming.

Ø Able to provide transportation to appointments and COVID safe outings. Must be able to drive to work in all but extreme weather conditions as the home is always open.


Ø Must be able to keep the house clean and sanitized to a high standard and able to do general yard maintenance.


Accountabilities:

  • Communication: Build strong and respectful relationships with team members, the individuals and their families. Communicate in a professional manner.
  • Confidentiality: maintain confidentiality outside of the home at all times
  • Interaction: Interact in a positive, image enhancing and age appropriate manner.
  • Safety: Be aware of the individual's environments, taking action to minimize risks.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate time sheets, medical documentation and any other documentation as required. Complete accurate and respectful documentation on daily activities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Proficient computer and phone skills.
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license
  • First Aid and CPR certification or willing to obtain.
  • Criminal Record Check

Working Hours:

Ø Shifts are 2 days/nights on and 2 days off. Vacation coverage is required. Shifts can be flexible depending upon the experience of the staff.

Start Date:
Immediately

Starting Wage:
Will be determined based on experience.

Job Type:
Part-time

Salary:
$18.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift
