Reporting to the Vice President, Maintenance & Engineering the MRO Sales Manager will be responsible to develop, generate and administer MRO Sales and MRO customer relationships.

This opportunity is based in North Bay, Ontario.
New Business Development & Business Development Planning:

Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business. Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network. Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization. Create and maintain a presence in social media using platforms such as LinkedIn Research and build relationships with new clients. Build relationships with various Canada Trade Commission offices to develop new business in foreign countries. Build relationships with various Aerospace Associations to develop new business contacts and expand your network. Plan approaches and pitches, to develop proposals that speak to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives. Participate in pricing the solution/service. Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Present an image that mirrors that of the client. Creative input in the development of MRO marketing and sales plans. Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends. Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels. Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales. Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.

Manage the MRO Commercial Aspects:
Provide quotations and secure bookings.
  • Implementation of Maintenance Agreements with customers.
  • Be the key point of contact for customers throughout MRO projects.
  • Liaise with Voyageur Corporate Administration as to potential contracts, financial requirements and compliance, and invoicing processes.
  • Prepare tender responses as required.Client Retention:
    Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships. Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs. Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.

Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success:
Proven track record of success in MRO sales with at least 10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Post secondary education in an aviation technical field, a business development / marketing field or equivalent work experience.
  • AME License or Aerospace Engineering would be an asset.
  • Must be proficient in software critical to customer communication, i.e., PowerPoint, Word.
  • Must be proficient in spreadsheet creation and management involved in forecasting and price modeling. i.e., Excel
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Strong leadership skills and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Details:

  • You will work out of our North Bay head office.
  • Monday through Friday standard office work week.
  • Frequent extended hours to attend to customers in different time zones and to enable timely completion of proposals.
