Assist project manager in weekly subtrade meetings.
In conjunction with the Project Manager/scheduler, develop, maintain, and drive the construction schedule to ensure project milestones and completion dates are met.
Manage questions/issues that arise on-site (regarding plans, unforeseen conflicts/problems/errors).
Maintain daily logs to accurately track site progress, events, inspections, weather conditions, manpower numbers, issues, etc.
Coordinate all aspects of site activities.
Assist with the shop drawings/site instruction process (review and comment documents).
Assist with risk registry (providing data, issues, and concerns for analysis).
Manage and optimize crane time between subtrades.
Create, manage, and optimize site logistics plan at all times, reviewing periodically.
Manage on site deliveries.
Lead the quality control program to ensure projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes.
Assist in managing project coordinators with the deficiency process.
Manage project site access closures when required.
Ensure the site, activities, and all persons and companies on site always respect all OH&S regulations.
Manage the daily opening and closing of the site.
Manage on site facilities (office space, break rooms, etc.)
Assist with scope gap analysis for contracts.
Verify that all subtrades have all appropriate permits (specifically mechanical and electrical)
7-10 years of site supervision experience in a commercial or multi-resident environment
~ Experience in multi-residential would be considered an asset.
~ Experience in buildings 5+ stories tall would be considered and asset.
~ Project experience should be with projects ranging in value from $20M to $40M.
~ Understanding of applicable health & safety and construction-related legislation.
~ Proficient with email, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc., and/or similar softwares.
~ Proficient with online cloud construction management software (such as BuildEnd, Fieldwire, Bim360, ProCore, etc.)
~ Capable of anticipating constructability issues in moderately complex situations and creating solutions to minimize the impact on the project schedule and budget.
~ Solid understanding of current construction practices.
