Construction Project Coordinator

Responsibilities
  • Support the project manager and superintendent in achieving overall project objectives, including budget, timeline, safety, and quality standards.
  • Facilitate comprehensive construction coordination, planning, and the identification of potential risks while addressing technical issues on-site.
  • Conduct quantity takeoffs and site surveys to oversee contract progress and reporting effectively.
  • Foster strong relationships with trade partners through activities such as issuing tender packages, defining scopes of work, addressing inquiries, and monitoring project progress.
  • Assist in managing change orders and the change management process, including pricing, processing, and evaluating cost and schedule impacts.
  • Oversee the request for information, shop drawing, and submittal processes.
  • Support pre-commissioning or commissioning activities.
  • Contribute to project closeout activities, including document archiving, maintenance, and warranty management.
  • Identify and aid in resolving technical issues encountered in the field.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in the construction sector.
  • Familiarity with the construction industry, including equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, building materials, quality standards, safety protocols, construction sequences, and building codes.
  • Ability to apply fundamental engineering and problem-solving principles to construction challenges and present viable solutions.
  • Capability to develop a detailed schedule and manage subcontracts and contract documentation.
  • Proficiency in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with a keen ability to adopt new technologies.
