Asphalt Finish Roller Operator

Responsibilities:

  • Safe operation of heavy roller
  • Determines speed and direction of machine, based on knowledge of compressibility of material
  • Work with mínimal supervision

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with roller operation
  • Through knowledge of the safe operation of roller and municipal road building industry
  • Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure
  • Must possess a valid class 5 driver's license (Class 3 preferred) or above with a clean drivers abstract
  • High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with little supervision
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends
  • Valid safety certifications

Additional Information:

  • This is a seasonal position and starts in spring of every year
  • This position is eligible for overtime
  • Some travel outside of Edmonton may be required
  • Training will be provided for various activities
  • We offer excellent wages and benefit eligibility after 3 months in which you may continue your benefits during the winter months (off season).
  • Potential on call work during the winter months during snow removal and early spring sweeping season.
