Psychiatrist- Inpatient Unit

The Department of Psychiatry, Island Health, South Island, is looking for a part-time Psychiatrist to join the1SW inpatient unit at Royal Jubilee Hospital.
The therapeutic program includes a comprehensive range of treatments including individual and group psychotherapy, medication management, and ECT.Experience working in a team environment, with supervision of students and residents, is preferred. Clinical and research experience with young adult patients would definitely be an asset.
On call responsibility is mandatory for Island Health psychiatry services.
Participation in research is strongly encouraged and facilitated by Island Health.
Participation in the evaluation of the efficiency, quality and delivery of the Services is expected. This may include participation in medical audits, peer and interdisciplinary reviews, chart reviews, and incident report reviews
Participation in clinical, operational, and Department of Psychiatry meetings is expected.
