Position Summary

Homewood Ravensview, a leading mental health and addiction treatment center, is seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality clinical care to patients in our adult inpatient program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management.
  • Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based treatments and achieve superior treatment outcomes.
  • Conduct individual assessments and develop treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Document patient care and treatment plans in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance patient care and stay up-to-date with best practices in psychiatry.

Requirements:

  • Specialist certification in Psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent body.
  • Experience in diagnosing and managing complex psychiatric disorders and comorbid mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
