Coaching and Mentoring

Provide day to day and motivational support and lead the Field Accounting Services team Coach/develop/train the team to achieve their developmental goals Actively seeking opportunities to strategically acquire and develop talents in the area of compensation redesign

Business Partnering

Act as the main point of contact for the third-party businesses partnering with the Compensation department. Review Bi-weekly and monthly third-party reports Audit payment calculations paid to our field force by third party business partners Partnership with Agent Experience team and increased engagement with recruiting for regular feedback and planning to deliver improvements to agent experience whether through changes to processes, tools or improved training/job aide resources.

Compensation Disbursement

Monitor daily operations of the department Ensure compensation processing consists of accurate calculations and withholdings Assist with the setup of compensation calculations, earnings, deductions, and garnishments Review and approve bi-weekly work force statements Review monthly reconciled accounts Generate compensation data reports for executive review and various audits Review and approve weekly journal entries Analyze current processes and recommend improvements Manage special projects within the Compensation system

Finance Transformation and Compensation Redesign

Lead role in transformation of the Field Compensation area to be more strategic, business partnership, compensation redesign and analytics focused. Streamline routine processes through automations/technologies. Recommendation and implementation of agent compensation redesign to enhance the agent value proposition, through detailed review/analytics/industry study etc. Lead Compensation related projects to establish compensation dashboard/reporting within Power BI to supplement aging MyReports and statements to deliver a more clear compensation reporting experience to salesforce with the vision to incremental improvement toward best in class reporting.

Year End:

Calculate, prepare, and print yearly tax forms to the field force (T4A/RL1) Create executive summaries and yearly reconciliations Bilingual in French and English a strong asset Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Business 3+ years of management experience Compensation and insurance industry knowledge Proven experience in leading high performing teams Experience in coaching and developing staff Versatile and flexible, and a willingness to work within a fast-paced and changing environment. Strong MS Office skills with a focus on Excel and VBA macros Self-starter with excellent time management skills who can prioritize multiples deliverables to meet timelines Strong attention to details, intellectually curious to understand drivers and root causes behind the numbers Collaborative team player and ability to communicate well with all levels of management Excellent written and verbal communication skills
