This is a
unique opportunity to develop your career, as you will work under the supervision of the Manager of H&S Services and alongside the VP of Health and Safety on various initiatives.

You can expect to spend approximately 2/3 of your time in an office environment and 1/3 of your time providing health and safety advisory support to the warehouse team.


In this exciting role you will:

  • provide health and safety support for the corporate office and warehouse,
- lead the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee (JOHSC),
- assist in the early and safe return to work process,
- provide support to our field teams, and
- carry out general administration of the health and safety department.

What you will do:_

Compile and distribute corporate statistical safety information (ie. Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly).

  • Assist in injury management and facilitate early and safe return to work.
  • Assist with training development, editing, and tracking.
  • Manage all prequalification platforms.
  • Format corporate documents into the CIMS Operational Excellence Management System
  • Coach managers and workers while conducting regular worksite inspections.
  • Participate in daily toolbox talks ensuring they are progressively more informative and inclusive.
  • Review and assist in the development of Job Hazard Assessments.
  • Facilitate health and safety orientations for managers with new hires.
  • SDS database upkeep
  • Ensure forms are completed properly, filed appropriately, and kept confidential.
  • Manage and upload all incoming correspondence, forms, and relevant documentation for claims adjudication or maintenance.
  • Validate worker information and review investigation documentation to ensure necessary information is submitted.
  • Prepare confidential correspondence for managers, workers, physicians, treatment providers, lawyers, and other stakeholders.

  • Certificate or diploma in health and safety,
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience,
  • Experience in heavy industrial construction safety.

- _May be required to work outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions._
- _May be required to work outside of regular work hours to meet deadlines occasionally._
