Under direction of the designated supervisor, the Site Monitor will provide on-site support for Leading to Reading
and Homework Clubs.

Duties:

Monitor Leading to Reading and Homework Club activity according to written guidelines
Register children in the program
Contact and schedule returning program participants
Assign available times to volunteers and children
Maintain paperwork associated with the program including attendance records
Assist in organizing and conducting activities for the final session
Submit a concise summary report of attendance and branch activity to the program supervisor
Provide input to the Coordinator and branch staff re program delivery and program statistics
Provide a monthly report to the Program Coordinator.

Qualifications:

Secondary School Graduation Diploma, or equivalent combination of training and experience
Understanding and appreciation of the philosophy of public service to all, in accordance with human rights
Legislation and the principles of equity and access in the delivery of library service
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to deal with the public with courtesy and tact
Experience with children and volunteers
Ability to follow instructions and carry out duties in an independent manner.

Salary:
$27.00 per hour (2023 Rates)
