In this role you will:
  • Adhere to all corporate Safety Policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Alert Supervisor or Manager of any unsafe practices observed.
  • Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at different customer sites.
  • Provide after-hours service as per the service office rotation and on-call availability.
  • Carry out on-site troubleshooting to identify equipment malfunctions and determine necessary repairs.
  • Perform post-repair audits to ensure all safety features function correctly.
  • Document findings, propose corrective actions during safety reviews, inform customers of safety concerns, and discuss repair options.
  • Follow all relevant industry codes and regulations, refreshing and updating knowledge regularly.
  • Complete required documentation accurately and professionally using digital tools.
  • Maintain open communication with the service office and assigned Coordinator.
  • Ensure all company equipment and vehicles are in safe working order.
  • Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles responsibly and notify the supervisor of any issues.
  • Maintain inventory and vehicle supplies, documenting usage or sales to customers.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols, participate in safety meetings, and perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Your Skills and Qualifications:
  • EDUCATION: A recognized trade qualification as a Journeyman Electrician, Journeyman Millwright, or equivalent experience. Alternatively, an Associate's degree in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technology or a related field.
  • EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1 year, subject to Provincial Legislative requirements and CSA standards.
  • OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must maintain a good driving record and possess a valid driver's license. Should be capable of working at heights, climbing ladders, and walking on walkways. Strong computer, written, and verbal communication skills are essential. Excellent customer interaction abilities, willingness to work overtime, travel, and work out of town are required.

    Competitive wages ranging from $45 to $50 per hour, depending on experience.
