Concrete Finisher

Liam Construction Fort McMurray Ltd is seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finishes on our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Education and Experience: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the trade.
- Work Setting: You will work on various locations, including construction sites and warehouses.
- Tasks:
- Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
- Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and ensure it is properly set.
- Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures to support the structure.
- Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and prevent damage.
- Waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces to prevent water damage and ensure durability.
- Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures to maintain their integrity.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: You will be required to bend, crouch, and kneel frequently, and must be able to lift and move heavy materials.
- Personal Suitability: We are looking for a team player who is able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Work Terms: This is a permanent position, working 32 hours per week.
- Work Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
