About the Role

Liam Construction Fort McMurray Ltd is seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finishes on our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Concrete Finishing: Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and ensure it meets the required specifications.
  • Surface Preparation: Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification to ensure a stable and even surface.
  • Installation: Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures to secure and support concrete structures.
  • Surface Treatment: Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and protect them from damage.
  • Surface Repair: Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures to maintain their integrity.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Work in various locations, including construction sites, and be exposed to physical demands such as bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
  • Work Schedule: 32 hours per week.
