About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced OTR Tire Technician to join our team at Kal Tire in Fort McMurray, AB. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional tire service and repair to our mining industry clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all aspects of tire shop work related to customer sites, including tire mounting, dismounting, and balancing.
  • Assist mine maintenance staff as required and perform equipment checks and calibrations.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including tire inspection and maintenance programs.
  • Operate heavy-duty tire servicing equipment and tools, and conduct maintenance checks to ensure all work is done according to Kal Tire work and safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and requirements, and report hazards, unsafe work conditions, and equipment to your Supervisor/lead hand.
Requirements
  • At least two years of related experience with direct experience as a tire technician preferred.
  • OTR service training and certifications desired.
  • Experience operating and maintaining tire manipulators, forklifts, and service trucks.
  • Experience working in an environment where safety procedures are a key part of daily operations.
