Live-in Resident Manager

Responsibilities:
  • Must live on-site
  • Applicant must enjoy interacting with people, be adaptable, hands-on with cleaning and maintenance tasks, and take responsibility for the site
  • Duties include scheduled office hours and being on-call (except on scheduled days off)
  • Successful candidates must have a flexible schedule and be ready to handle on-call responsibilities outside regular business hours
  • On-call tasks include answering calls, showing available units, responding to emergencies, addressing after-hours issues like noise complaints, cleaning tasks, ensuring building standards, etc.
  • Collect rent payments and follow up on any defaults
  • Minimize vacancies and meet or surpass budget targets for each site by offering excellent service to potential and current residents
  • Inspect vacant and upcoming units
  • Show and lease units
  • Respond to all rental inquiries promptly
  • Conduct annual inspections of units
  • Handle bank deposits
  • Perform administrative tasks such as processing site paperwork and assisting other team members
  • Ensure contractors adhere to schedules and fulfill their obligations
  • Maintain accurate inventory records
  • Assist with snow removal, minor painting touch-ups, and cleaning when necessary
  • Complete all necessary administrative duties using a tablet
  • Take on other assignments delegated by the team leader
Experience and Educational Requirements:
  • 2 years of Customer Service Experience required
  • Post-Secondary Education in a related field
Technical Requirements:
  • Computer skills are mandatory, familiarity with web-based applications is preferred
  • Quick learner who can adapt to new systems and technologies efficiently
  • Experience with computer tablets is advantageous
Non-Technical Requirements:
  • Strong time-management abilities
  • Can handle sensitive and confidential matters
  • Remains calm and composed while dealing with challenging situations, showing patience, empathy, and understanding
  • Capable of working independently or collaboratively with colleagues in a team setting
  • Quick learner, adaptable to changes, and flexible in approach
  • Exhibits initiative and a dedication to success in alignment with Boardwalk's mission statement
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset, positivity, enthusiasm, and assertiveness
  • Able to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift for up to eight hours daily
  • Capable of handling or moving objects up to 10kg with suitable equipment
