Working under the direction of the Manager, People & Culture, the People & Culture Coordinator will support various people-centered programs and initiatives.

They will use strong administrative skills to support recruitment, engagement, training, and development for all Marcon employees.

About the Role

  • Review and screen resumes, administer telephone interviews and conduct reference checks
  • Maintain accurate job descriptions and manage job postings
  • Responsible for maintaining confidential HR documents and files
  • Maintain HRIS (BambooHR) and other processes and systems to ensure that they are up to date
  • Organize interview times and boardroom bookings and associated communications
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation processes
  • Support employees through various HR related queries and maintain positives relations
  • Coordinate and support training programs including the maintenance of training systems and processes
- utilize and maintain the Resource Management software to effectively dispatch employees across construction sites

  • Prepare various reports using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and BambooHR
  • Assist with the management of engagement initiatives and recognition programs
  • Other People & Culture administrative tasks as required

About You

  • Knowledge of relevant BC employment legislation
  • Ability to manage and maintain highly confidential information
  • Strong organizational skills, administrative and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment, and foster effective working relations with peers, employees and guests
  • Flexibility to take on other administrative and duties as required
