**The Opportunity**

We are currently looking for a self-directed, engaging, empathetic Specialized Housing Program Coordinator to join our growing team. Reporting to the Programs Manager, the program coordinator oversees specialized home support services and is responsible for creating a safe, supportive, non-judgmental and inclusive culture for all program participants and staff. The program, located in Langley, is a 24-hour emergency receiving home for youth between the ages of 12 to 19 who are in need of short-term stabilization.

Program coordinator oversees some of the most vulnerable and complex youth in the care of, or on a Youth Agreement with, the Ministry of Children and Family Development. Applicants should be able to demonstrate experience in meeting youth where they’re at, recognition of the ongoing influence of trauma and disconnection on the youth served and support building on youth’s strengths and passions to create meaning. Delivery of these services must be provided with an understanding of the ongoing effects of trauma, isolation and vulnerability.

SALARY RANGE: Grid 14: $34.90 - $38.77 per hour

**Key Responsibilities**
- Coordinates the day-to-day operations by ensuring the necessary facilities and equipment are in place, program guidelines and policies are adhered to and program standards are met in consultation with Program Manager.
- Assist the Program Manager in providing orientation, training, work direction and guidance to residence workers by performing duties such as clarifying program policies, reviewing work schedules.
- Develops, implements and evaluates residence goals, objectives, policies and procedures and ensures the required standards are maintained. Identifies both physical and program needs of the residence to appropriate authority. Plans with staff for changes.
- Oversees the schedules, supervision and evaluation of residence staff and monitors daily operations. Assists in the recruitment and selection of staff and provides guidance, training and orientation on policies, procedures, techniques, report preparation or other matters arising in the residence. Identifies the needs of staff for professional development.
- Provides leadership, guidance and participates with staff, families and MCFD in planning and providing client plans, case conferencing, case management and the preparation of related documents and reports.
- Monitors, authorizes and allocates expenditures within the operating budget for the year and assists senior management in preparing the budget. Prepares and maintains related documentation.
- Ensures the cleanliness, safety, security and maintenance of the residence in accordance with licensing standards either directly or through delegation to staff.
- Ensure the programs offer high quality, inclusive, participant-centered and culturally competent services utilizing ethical practices that are responsive to the needs of presenting participants;
