Children's Autism Services of Edmonton is seeking a permanent, full-time Behaviour Consultant to join our dynamic and growing organization.

We provide family centered in-home and classroom based services to meet the needs of families and children who have autism and other developmental disorders.


  • Behaviour Consultants working with our organization:_
  • Provide consultation regarding behavioral issues interfering with development, learning and safety
  • Operate from a developmental and traumainformed approach to emotionalbehaviour challenges
  • Use assessment tools and intervention planning from the SCERTS model
  • Complete functional behavior assessments
  • Create individualized regulation and/or behavior plans
  • Support caregivers and education teams to implement plans
  • Provide caregiver education in individual and group formats
  • Monitor goals and plans
  • Write reports and maintaining client files

  • A Masters or Undergraduate Degree in a related field, such as: Education, Psychology, Disability Studies, Child and Youth Development, Nursing or Applied Behavior Sciences
  • Experience in providing consultation in homes and schools with pediatric clients
  • Your own vehicle and valid driver's license
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Passion and commitment for working with children and their families
  • All hires must provide a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector, Child Intervention check and Standard First Aid & levelC CPR
Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Masters Level education.
