Mental Health Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at the Edmonton North Primary Care Network.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide individual therapy and class facilitation services to patients aged 14 and above.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct mental health assessments and provide individual psychotherapy using evidence-based treatment modalities.
- Make autonomous decisions in coordinating care and determining treatment plans for referred clients.
- Develop and maintain a good understanding of the Behavioural Health Consultant model and work collaboratively with them to ensure clients' mental health needs are met.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate with clients' physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Facilitate group training and assist in the development of policies and procedures.
- Participate in establishing health promotion programs and collaborate with other team members.
- Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or social work (clinical specialization).
- Active professional registration and good standing with CAP or an accredited Association under the Health Professions Act.
- Certification in a core suite of evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
- Minimum three years' experience providing individual and group therapy in a community agency.
- Cultural competence and experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds and related language needs.
