The primary responsibility of this position is to sell standard TRUMPF machine tool products in Canada and to establish TRUMPF as the market leader in this territory and managing the sales personnel in Canada.

Machine tools which include but are not limited to 2D laser and tube cutting machines, press brakes, welding and punching machines as well as automation and storage components and the TruServices products.

Establish and maintain a network of key-customer contacts. Identify and develop new accounts for the TRUMPF customer base.

Management of the Sales Representatives / Territories

  • Derive KPI's to manage the sales activities in the territories.
  • Ensure the proper use of offered sales tools to increase order intake and provide maximum transparency.
  • Set up regular meetings with the sales representatives.
  • Ensure proper training and support for all sales representatives.
  • Support to derive fitting sales strategies for the territories.
Sales Responsibilities

  • Grow market share and Order Intake based on given annual targets.
  • Negotiate prices and terms and finalize (close) orders with proper terms and conditions
  • Build a network including the key facilities for laser press brake and punching.
  • Constantly improve technical knowledge of the TRUMPF product group.
  • Support future sales through proper marketing, media and industry trade shows as needed.
  • Travel into the territories on a regular basis in order to meet customers and close orders.
  • Travel to Demo Centers and Exhibitions to provide best consultancy to customers.
  • Support on time deliveries and payments by customers.
  • Take care of customer complaints and escalations
Administration & Record Keeping

  • Keep track of contacts and sales approaches through utilization of an integrated system defined by TCA Management.
  • Track and submit expenses in accordance with the employee handbook.
  • Provide project updates for Management on a weekly basis or upon request.
  • Support Management with information for the quarterly and yearly MT forecasts.
