TAG Hardware designs, engineers and manufactures consumer products for the modular furniture industry. Our 30,000 square foot manufacturing plant is located in South Surrey.

The facility houses plastic injection molding machines, assembly work stations and a warehouse, where we assemble our patented products for delivery globally.


About the Role - Job Description
TAG Hardware is looking for a production assembly staff for our South Surrey facility. The Production Assembler position will be manufacturing various products used in the closet organizing industry.

  • Onepiece work flow, assembly stations, performing repetitive work in a fastpaced production environment. Effective communication in English is required, own transportation is required
  • Assist other workers and assemblers to perform other manufacturing tasks and elemental activities, including cleaning equipment and immediate work areas
  • The position requires attention to detail, handeye coordination, ability to perform repetitive tasks, the job is physically demanding and requires manual dexterity.
  • Higher starting rates offered for those with previous manufacturing, packaging, shipping or warehouse experience; Forklift License is an asset.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively in English with superiors and coworkers in a team environment
  • Read detailed instructions written in English
  • Perform quality checking of production against samples
  • Handover the work area clean, organized with machines caught up to the next shift team member
  • Package all parts and build pallet quantities according to job specifications
  • Ensure inspection of parts (visual quality check) before packing the parts
  • Counting parts, and boxing or bagging production.
  • Physical handling of materials and supplies, assisting with organizing and assembling finished product.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy workplace
  • Other duties as assigned

About you - Competencies and Skills:

  • Be able to operate a hand drill, rivet gun, or other dc equipment.
  • Be able to assemble product via glue or mechanical fasteners.
  • Be able to function in a team environment.
  • Be able to read order sheets and labels.
  • Be able to perform 5S duties of cleaning, sorting, setting in order, standardizing, and sustaining.
  • Be able to perform assembly per the Standard Work.
  • Be able to train others per the Standard Work.
  • Be able to fill out Hour by Hour boards.
  • Be able to lift 30kg.
  • Be able to use a pallet jack.
  • Be able to calculate basic math equations
  • Be able to perform other assignments as required to fulfill the daily work schedule per the direction of management, ie. Rework, painting, plastic trimming, fabric trimming, etc.
  • Be able to communicate effectively in English, including reading detailed instructions.
