_We are looking for a bright and energetic person to join our fast-paced finance team on a full-time basis._
The
Posting and Accounting Clerk will assist with the day-to-day functions and duties within the Finance department. This position will contribute to the overall accomplishment and development of accounting practices and objectives. This position reports to the Accounting Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Reconcile bank transactions and General Ledger accounts
  • Post consumer payments online, FBPS, cheques etc.
  • Process credit card transactions
  • Handle queries from the Collections department
  • Support monthend and yearend closing
  • Run client statements and cheques
  • Prepare remittance reports for clients
  • Reconcile daily posting and deposit of consumers' payment

Minimum Qualifications and skills:

  • Previous bookkeeping/ data entry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of accounting
  • Fast and accurate data input skills with extreme attention to detail
  • Problem solving ability and organizational skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with trust accounting is an asset
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Strong verbal and business writing skills
