The role:

This role is required to work onsite in our corporate office located in Coquitlam Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate reports, transcribe minutes from meetings, create presentations, and conduct research.
  • Handle office tasks, such as screening phone calls, managing all incoming and outgoing mail, filing, booking appointments and setting up for meetings, and reordering supplies.
  • Provide executive assistant support to senior management when needed including travel, meeting, and catering arrangement.
  • As Chair for the social committee, organize social events for colleagues at head office and offsite and administer the committee budget.
  • Arrange lunches, food and refreshments for the office as needed (including picking up products at various companies).
  • Administer onsite First Aid (JYSK will provide the Level 2 First Aid training)
  • Perform other related duties for other departments as required.

What do you bring to the role?

  • 1+ year(s) of administrative or officerelated experience
  • Valid driver's license and consistent access to a vehicle are required
  • Physically capable of performing the duties of a first aid attendant.
  • Event planning or similar experience is a bonus
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including proper pronunciation and grammar, and a consistently courteous and professional tone of voice at all times
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Very selfmotivated and goaloriented with the ability to multitask
  • Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others
  • Capability to work in a fastpaced, teamoriented office environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada
