What you'll do

  • Train and coach prospective store owners so they can run Canadian Tire service centres that are financially and operationally well managed
  • Develop and maintain training content for the automotive portion of the Dealer Training Program
  • Develop and maintain a network of Subject Matter Experts and key business contacts, including Canadian Tire store owners, field, and Home Office teams to stay uptodate and ensure training is in line with current business priorities, procedures and practices and industry trends
  • Analyze results to identify performance gaps and adjust training as required
  • Evaluate training progress and performance to measure the Trainee's ability to effectively run a Canadian Tire Service Centre
  • Be an active contributor in developing and implementing a vision for the future of the Dealer Training Program. This includes staying informed about training trends and best practices that optimize the learning experience and ensure continuous improvement of the program.

What you bring
years recent automotive service experience with in-depth knowledge of auto operations, profitability drivers, performance metrics, engaging staff, shaping the customer experience, business planning and budgets

  • University or college degree preferred. A combination of experience, technical training and ongoing development will also be considered
  • Advanced knowledge of COSTAR or similar automated auto service software
  • Working knowledge of FRONTIER or other inventory management software an asset
  • Experience developing and measuring the impact of resultsoriented training
  • Exceptional communication skills with some facilitation and presentation experience to confidently lead training sessions, and interact with personnel ranging from store associates to executives
  • Strong customer focus with emphasis on building and sustaining relationships with Trainees, Subject Matter Experts and store owners
  • Selfstarter who is driven, works well with mínimal supervision and who can work autonomously within a strong team environment
  • Ability to balance competing priorities to deliver results
  • Curiosity, always seeking ways to develop oneself, and leverage technology to identify and improve
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Bilingual (English and French) an asset
