Our Client is a leading International Freight Forwarder, operating in over 140 countries worldwide.
They offer a wide range of logistics solutions to their customers, including air and ocean forwarding, contract logistics, customs clearance, and supply chain management services.
The Customs Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring timely processing and compliance with customs regulations, facilitating the smooth movement of goods across international borders, and optimizing customs processes to enhance operational efficiency.
This is an in-office position.
Coach, mentor and develop a team of Customs professionals, providing training and guidance to internal team members or customs compliance requirements, best practices, and procedural updates.
Ensuring adherence to all customs regulations, policies, and procedures governing the import and export of goods.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to customs clearance and compliance, implementing corrective actions as needed to achieve operational targets.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in customs brokerage, specifically in a freight forwarding environment.Strong understanding of international trade processes, Incoterms, and customs clearance procedures.
Proficiency in customs brokerage software and electronic data interchange (EDI) systems.
Employer paid annual licensing fees.
