Position Description

The Logistics and Transportation Manager must possess passion, initiative and drive combined with visionary leadership skills. This position requires the ability to build customer centric relationships while communicating TTI's commitment to excellence.

You must possess a Team First attitude, interacting with your peers positively to bring the best out of them and yourself.

Your passion for knowledge, both product and business will help you meet your required objectives.

You will be responsible for managing Logistics and Transportation for the Milwaukee Tool business as well as 3PL activity. The ability to prioritize and get "the job done" while managing the impact versus activity equation is vital.


It is expected that you will be an outstanding communicator, both internally and externally; you will consistently bring suggestions and solutions to the table, rather than problems.


What You Will Do:

  • Analyze and approve freight invoices
  • Source and manage freight auditor
  • Manage Dangerous Goods shipping, ensuring compliance by all employees and customers
  • Manage and plan for logistics or transportation issues
  • Negotiate and renew various freight/3PL contracts
  • Budgeting spend and trailer needs for line hauls out of US DC
  • Manage relationships with outside storage, carriers, and thirdparty logistics providers
  • Special executions, rail requirement, road shows etc.
  • Have a continuous improvement mindset for cost savings, while still providing best in class service to our customers

What You Have Done:

  • 35 years of management experience is preferred
  • 5 years of Logistics and Transportation experience is preferred
  • Postsecondary education
  • Read, write, and speak fluent English
  • Must possess effective business communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent understanding of import / export requirements
