Integrated Patient Registration Assistant

Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll, and Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital are looking for candidates for the role of Integrated Patient Registration Assistant. The successful candidate will work at both hospital sites.

The Patient Registration Assistant will be responsible for registering and discharging patients, scheduling appointments, maintaining accurate records, operating various systems, handling clerical tasks, and providing support to different hospital areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register and discharge patients following hospital policies
  • Schedule appointments and bookings
  • Maintain accurate records and systems
  • Operate communication systems
  • Monitor alarms and respond to codes
  • Provide clerical support
  • Handle payments, donations, and receipts
  • Assist with various tasks across different hospital areas
  • Ensure customer service standards are met
  • Train new employees
  • Suggest improvements and communicate issues
  • Adhere to organization policies
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
  • Medical Office Administration Diploma or equivalent
  • Recent experience in reception
  • Strong computer skills
  • Typing speed of 40 wpm
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Commitment to professional development
  • Ability to work all shifts
  • Ability to work in a team

  • Availability for all shifts
  • Salary per Non-Union Salary Schedule
