This Opportunity


We are currently looking to fill Two Part-time permanent Personal Support Worker (PSW) positions for the Outreach Attendant Services Program in Sarnia and Southwest.


Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required for multiple home visits in our community (public transit not suitable).

Roles and responsibilities

  • Assists consumers in their own homes with nonmedical activities of daily living in accordance with individual service plans and with March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures:
  • Personal care
  • Lifts and Transfers
  • Rising/retiring
  • Bowel and bladder procedures
  • Meal preparation and feeding
  • Range of motion exercises
  • Other light housekeeping duties
  • Performs duties in a professional manner, which respects the dignity and right to privacyand maintains consumer and staff health and safety.
The Personal Support Workers (PSW's) will be required to work multiple shifts (i.e. work days, evenings, weekends) that may vary between locations.

Qualifications and experience

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification (must obtain within first 3 months)
  • Experience working with older adults, adults with agerelated health conditions, and/or disabilities
  • Knowledge of and abilities in transferring, lifting, and other attendant care duties
  • Physical Demands Self Analysis Required upon hire
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible and regularly scheduled hours
