Position Title: Senior Technology Manager, Cloud
Reports To: Head of Technology - Infrastructure, Cloud, & Service Management Department: IT Infrastructure
Term: Permanent Full-Time

Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

To this we are now looking to bring in a hands-on technology manager to lead this group of outstanding people in progressively evolving our cloud capabilities.

What you will be doing:

· Manage the enterprise cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and corresponding delivery team

· End-to-end accountability of the cloud platforms delivery – from research, development, and prototyping of new capabilities, through to implementation and operational excellence, and the ongoing lifecycle management to maintain technical currency and performance

· Continuous improvements and delivery in the technology and processes of our cloud platforms

· Drive efficient and consistent delivery through automation of the platforms and continuous integration/delivery thinking

· Ensure our cloud platforms meet best practice, security, governance, compliance and regulatory requirements

What you will bring:

· A deep technical expertise and multiple certifications in cloud platforms (Azure preferred)

· Hands-on delivery capability in the design, engineering and operations for our cloud platforms

· Expert knowledge and experience with automation, orchestration and systems configuration tools

· A natural leader with a passion for enabling both people and technology.

· Strong communicator and influencer that is able to convey complex messaging and simplify for both technical and non-technical audiences.

· You see the big picture but also sweat the details

· Strong process orientation – design and implementation

· Say "no" to sloppy and always on the lookout for better ways of doing things
