Customer Relations and Sales Manager


Sterling Rivers is searching for an enthusiastic and charismatic
Customer Relations and Sales Manager to focus on customer loyalty and building close long-term client relationships.


This role will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for sustaining business growth and profitability by promoting value through client experience.


Here's what you need to know about this opportunity:

  • $75,000
  • $90,000 per annum
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Fulltime, salaried position. Standard business hours
  • 3weeks of paid vacation days per year
  • 4 paid personal days per year
  • Onsite role, 1245 Caledonia Road #200, North York
  • U.S. travel required a few times per year
  • Start date: ASAP

And here's what we need from the person who fills this role:

  • Leadership:_
  • Lead and guide a team of account representatives, marketing and sales personnel. Set individual quarterly goals, hold regular performance feedback conversations.
  • Ensure excellent customer service is provided, by guiding and coaching the department and overseeing daytoday customer inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Develop and track account targets and department KPI's and develop a tracking and reporting system.
  • Actively participate in leadership meetings with the CEO and other departments including operations, supply chain and finance.
  • Initiate and participate in operational and strategic meetings with external stakeholders with a high level of professionalism.
  • Formalize and streamline the department by developing account guidelines, processes & manuals.
  • Support Human Resources with recruiting, orientation and role transitions.
The Client success leader is responsible for ensuring all responsibilities below are professionally delivered. They are expected to delegate and prioritize these responsibilities for themselves and their team members.

  • Account Management:_
  • Ensure each client has a main point of contact within the team who will build and maintain strong, longlasting client relationships.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits. Collaborate with operations and other parts of the company to ensure contractual obligations and client expectations are met.
  • Onboard new clients to ensure electronic setup and integration into our systems is successful while also building SOPs and guidelines for internal departments to follow.
  • Providing customers with a memorable and positive experience and ensuring consistency in customer interactions within the department.
  • Overlook to ensure smooth order processing and freight coordination to provide customers with accurate status information.

Marketing Initiatives:

  • Participate in trade shows and act as a point of contact to assist in planning, organizing, and execution.
  • Support the growth of our business through client retention and identifying opportunities to increase the company's service offerings with existing clients and seeking new client opportunities.
  • Track client and product performance and identify areas of improvement and opportunity for stronger presence and visibility on client platforms.
  • Analyze sales data and propose sales promotion and discount strategy
  • Manage website sponsorships and ads, tracking the performance of our campaigns and initiatives based on data analysis and make appropriate adjustments to our sponsorships to boost sales.

We are looking for someone with the following experience and attributes:

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales and order processing
  • 3+ years of leadership experience
  • Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets, experience analyzing large databases and generating reports
  • Experience in customer service and clientfacing roles is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle a multitasked role with excellent organizational skills.
  • Advanced critical thinking skills displayed by the ability to find creative solutions to problems.
  • Ability to travel to the U.S.

  • Experience in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, modern environment.
  • A Postsecondary education in marketing, sales, communication.
  • Trade show experience.
  • Work closely with a Founder/CEO who has built and grown the business.
