Salary Circa £38,000 dependant on experience plus fantastic Company benefits

Although this is a full-time Permanent opportunity, please speak to us about what flexibility means to you as we are always open to discuss individual's flexible working needs, don't let this stop you from applying.

Position Summary

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to join our team in Supply Chain as a Detailed Production Scheduler based in Halifax.

Do you have experience of a dynamic fast-paced supply chain environment? Do you have the ability to analyse and interpret data? Do you have the mind-set and initiative for continuous improvement? Then this could be the role you are looking for.

Nestlé Halifax Factory is the home of the iconic confectionery brands Quality Street & After Eight amongst several other well-known brands such as Munchies & Rolo. These are produced through controlled process plant and automated filling and packing lines.

A day in the life of a DPS Supply Planner

You will be responsible for creating and managing a short-term supply plan recognising all constraints within the supply stream for those assets you manage, to meet customer demand.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

Managing stock projections and ensuring the production plan meets our demand requirements.

Reacting to changes in the MPS plan to ensure that we are making the right products at the right time to satisfy customer demands.

Working closely with Operations to create a detailed production plan that appreciates the constraints of the assets for both packing and manufacturing.

Controlling the inbound flow of key materials to the manufacturing operation.

Who will make you successful?

You will have strong knowledge and experience of supply chain preferably in an end-to-end planning or logistics role. You will have a strong problem-solving mind-set, as well as the ability to challenge and improve existing processes.

The role involves working with large teams and interacting with people of all levels (both internally and externally) and you will be required to be an effective influencer and communicator. With excellent numeracy and analytical skills, you will also demonstrate an excellent understanding of software applications e.g. SAP & Microsoft Office. Your excellent teamwork and communication skills will be accompanied with a self-motivated attitude and flexible approach.

This is a great opportunity to work within a talented and dedicated team, in what will be a challenging role. In return, we will offer you all the support and guidance necessary to succeed in this role.

What you need to know

What can we offer in return? Great benefits you'd expect from a business the size of Nestlé – in the shape of a competitive salary and benefits package, bonus scheme, flexible working scheme, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays plus flex leave, pension scheme and a real focus on personal development and growth.

We will be considering candidates as they apply and we will occasionally close job advertisements early in the event we receive sufficient applicants, so please don't delay in submitting your application.

At Nestlé, our values are rooted in respect. When we embrace diversity and give everyone the chance to be the best they can be, we can think in new, creative ways that grow and enhance our business. People of all gender identities, ethnically diverse individuals, people with disabilities, and members of the LGBT+ community are strongly encouraged to apply. If there is anything we can do to accommodate you to participate fully in the application process, please let us know. We take pride in championing inclusion and diversity, our people make up a number of Colleague Networks who represent different experiences and communities who hold us accountable in creating a sense of belonging for all, and our values create the conditions for us to respect the unique contribution you bring.
