Reporting to the Director of Operations the Demand Planner is responsible for:


· Develop and maintain rolling 12-month master plan for finished goods demand to help inform strategic business decisions and maximize capacity utilization across all facilities.


· Develop and maintain rolling 12-week demand plan for finished goods, consolidating input from Sales on regular customer demand, features, and new/lost business.


· Identify and quantify inputs for Demand Planning model such as current inventory, seasonality, overstock risk, current open orders, QA holds, lead times, HPP requirements, shelf-life constraints, and production capacity.


· Perform historical sales analysis & forecast future sales.


· Maintain inventory availability among distribution centers to meet sales requirements.


· Drive, promote, and develop positive communication with Sales, Marketing and Customer Service to improve forecast accuracy and availability of finished goods inventory.


· Collaborate with key stakeholders (Sales, Operations, Procurement, Customer Service, Logistics) to ensure customer demand trends are accurate and maintained to support strategic business objectives.


· Identify discrepancies between sales forecasts and demand plan trends and communicate to Sales, Operations, Inventory, Procurement Planning (SOIPP) team.


· Develop, maintain, and report on the following key performance indicators:

I. Sales shortages by leading cause/factor (Fill Rate)

II. Forecast accuracy with distinction between regular and promotional business

III. Customer lead time analysis

IV. SKU rationalization list


· Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks that could impact the supply chain and distribution process.


· Regularly monitor inventory levels and develop safety stock levels on finished goods, and maintain product information and master data (min/max levels, batch sizes, lead times, inactive coding, etc.) in ERP (NetSuite) system to mitigate shortages/overstock issues


· Other duties as assigned



THE REQUIREMENTS


· Post-Secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field, and/or equivalent relevant experience.

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in CPG environment and at least 2-3 years of experience managing direct reports.

· Candidates with APICS\ASCM Certifications an asset.

· Experience using ERP systems and reports in a manufacturing environment.

· Exceptionally detail-oriented, with a proven ability to produce error-free work.

· A highly motivated, self-starter with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, coupled with a strong bias for action.

· Flexible and open to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously within compressed time limits.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

· Highly effective written and verbal communications skills.

· Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote).
