Position Summary

What You Will Do:

  • Preparing legal documents, notices, and various forms of correspondence, including contract drafting and proofreading.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Tracking and managing invoices and payments related to legal expenses.
  • Assisting in reporting and budgeting for legal expenses.
  • Conducting research on regulations, laws, and legal articles to support the preparation of reports and case files.
  • Maintaining organized case files, calendars, and deadlines.
  • Assisting with procurement reviews and vendor validation processes.
  • Attending meetings and taking meticulous notes.
  • Assisting in the collection of legal and factual documents.
  • Handling administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and document binding.
  • Attending organizational and departmental meetings as required.
  • Collaborating and communicating with other departments under the guidance of the Chief Administrative Officer.
  • Undertaking any other ad hoc duties assigned by the Chief Administrative Officer.

What You Will Bring:

  • A College Diploma or Degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a Legal Office Assistant program.
  • 3 years of experience in contract management and legal roles.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, business law, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a team and work collaboratively with crossfunctional departments.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • The ability to thrive in a fastpaced, teamoriented environment.
  • Strong selfreliance, excellent workload management, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
  • Proficiency in legal research and contract management software/tools.
  • A proven track record of handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Good judgment, proactive work ethic, and welldeveloped interpersonal skills.
