***: To be responsible for daily operations of Ply Gem Edmonton, Alberta, as well as achievement for all goals / targets / expenses approved under the branches budget. This individual must be knowledgeable of all Ply Gem Canada procedures, as well as all Sales processes. This individual must have extensive product knowledge as well as an understanding of all sales-related issues pertaining to his / her marketplace. This individual must be able to operate independently as well as a part of a cohesive team. This person has exceptional communications skills coupled with the ability to see projects through to completion and or to achieved desired results.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferably in Business Management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows as well as Word, Excel and Power Point
  • 25 years of previous management or supervisory experience preferably in the construction industry
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee branch operations for profitability
  • Monitor misc. categories such as RGA's, Credits, DSO's, Change Orders etc., and address root cause issues with corrective actions as necessary
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with Ply Gem Canada customer base
  • Knowledge and communication of Ply Gem Canada policies and procedures
  • Approve all expenses and credits relating to the branch
  • Prepare branch budgets (expenses) and manage these accordingly
  • Effectively communicate corporate goals and objectives to staff
  • Conduct branch meetings as required
  • Ensure Ply Gem Canada branch facilities and equipment are kept in a clean and safe condition
  • Monitor pricing and discounts to maximize opportunities
  • Complete knowledge of all Ply Gem Canada products and their functions
  • Foster a proactive and positive working environment to enhance Ply Gem Canada, Edmonton Branch operations
  • Work with senior management and other departments towards the development of products and processes that will maximize future opportunities for the company as a whole.
  • Maintain a strong professional working relationship with the Branch Service / Shipping supervisor and associated staff
  • Occasional travel within Canada may be required

AUTHORITY:


Has the authority to sign and approve employee expense statements, branch-specific invoices, RGA's, Credits, advertising agreements, no-charge orders, low-discount orders, etc.

Has the authority to hire and dismiss direct reports.
