MANAGER - BUDGET AND FINANCIAL REPORTING

Salary

Range - $122,184 per year

The Simcoe County District School Board is seeking

qualified applicants for the position of Manager of Budget and Financial

Reporting. The Manager of

Budget and Financial Reporting is responsible for managing the budget and

financial reporting functions of the Board, including the preparation and

submission of the Board's annual budget, revised budget and year-end financial

statements, and provision of financial analysis related to capital, operating

and balance sheet accounts, collective bargaining, ministry grants and special

initiatives to the Controller, the Superintendent of Business and Facility

Services and Senior Administration. The Manager

is also responsible for administration of the Board's financial software

system.

Qualifications and Skills

Required:
University degree in business or

commerce, coupled with a relevant accounting designation;

Five (5) years professional and

supervisory experience;

Previous work experience gained in

a public sector / educational environment, or large complex public sector

unionized environment is preferred;

Extensive work experience in

budget development, budget implementation, and revised budgets within a large complex

business environment;

Ability to interpret Ministry technical

papers and ministry grant agreements;

Strong verbal and written

communication skills;

Excellent organizational

and time management skills;

Superior critical thinking,

problem-solving, planning, prioritizing and attention to detail skills;

Strong customer service,

conflict resolution and relationship building skills as this position will work

with individuals at all levels in the organization;

Ability to adapt quickly to

a dynamic, and evolving environment;

Strong computer literacy

and the ability to work with a variety of computer software programs, such as accounting

This is a full-time permanent position. The regular

work year for this position is twelve (12) months of the year. The compensation

range for this twelve (12) month position is $122,184 per year, depending on

qualifications and experience. This position is based on a 35-hour work week.
