About Us:


The Faculty of Health Sciences is a large, diverse, and comprehensive unit, comprised of six Schools (Nursing, Kinesiology, Health Studies, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Communication Sciences and Disorders), a large Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and four Research Centres.

The faculty has more than 3,200 undergraduate students and more than 800 graduate students (200 PhD students).

  • Undergraduate University Degree from an accredited, recognized university
  • Experience:
  • 2 years' experience in an international recruitment, marketing, or communications role, in an academic institution

Preferred:

  • Experience working with a culturally diverse client base
  • Experience providing support for international students
  • Experience in a postsecondary environment
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and public speaking skills, with the ability to effectively interact with students, internal and external clients
  • Strong interpersonal skills that build positive relationships with students, staff, faculty and external contacts
  • Compelling and persuasive communication skills to engage individuals and teams inside and outside the University
  • Crosscultural competency with an ability to interact and work effectively with people from different cultures and backgrounds
  • Customer service skills to understand student needs and expectations, with a desire to deliver helpful and reliable service to the University community
  • Conveys approachability, poise, and understanding of the student perspective
  • Ability to reflect the mission and vision of the Faculty of Health Sciences
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite and the ability to learn new software
  • Detailoriented with an ability to function and process information with high levels of accuracy
  • Fluency in a second language would be an asset (e.g. Arabic, Mandarin)
  • Some travel required (e.g. approximately 2 international trips a year, and then 24 interprovincial trips a year)
