**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Kinesiologist to join our team as a Program Coordinator for Active Living. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our residents and provide innovative cognitive and physical exercise programs.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and implement cognitive and physical exercise programs for residents, both individuals and in groups.
- Collaborate with physiotherapists and occupational therapists to ensure resident goals are met.
- Be familiar with completing resident transfer assessments.
- Collaborate with external partners to provide exceptional service to our residents.
- Provide leadership and supervision of Kinesiology Co-Op placements, Students and Volunteers who assist with the PAL program.
- Facilitate education sessions such as lift & transfer, body mechanics, active living.
- Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members.
- Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the role.
**Requirements**
- Registration with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario.
- Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation, regulations and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience working with seniors and/or persons with cognitive or physical impairments.
- Experience working in the retirement and long-term care sector.
