What's it like working as a Vendor Management Analyst at Questrade?

  • IT vendor performance & risk management.
  • Execute IT vendor Due Diligence and Third Party Risk Assessments prior to and during the lifetime of the service relationship.
  • Maintain existing IT vendor relationships and leads day to day interactions for performance and risks, facilitating performance and risk.
  • Review meetings between IT vendors with internal stakeholders, and coordinating performance and risk issue resolution.
  • Monitor IT vendor performance and risk, complete vendor scorecards and materiality assessments and provide feedback, reports and/or dashboards on performance and risk of material IT vendors for operational review meetings.
  • Support the implementation, monitoring, tracking and reporting of Third Party Risk Management key metrics and indicators.
  • Identify and escalate issues of third party potential or actual risk.
  • Provide relevant performance and risk requirements input for new Vendor arrangements and agreements.
  • Support other Vendor Management Office staff in RFI/RFP processes including gathering internal requirements, coordinating demos, vetting IT vendors and participating in vendor selection reviews.
  • Assist with developing and execution of the Third Party Risk Management strategy and plan.
  • Identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the Third Party Risk Management Program.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Questrade Financial Group service offering, the relationships and dependency with vendors for existing business models and data flows in the business.
  • Exhibits confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems.
  • Pushes creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices and client mindsets.
So are YOU our next Vendor Management Analyst? You are if

  • At least 2 years of information technology third party relationship, performance and risk management experience.
  • Strong understanding of Third Party performance and risk and the importance of key mitigating controls.
  • Knowledge of the vendor management lifecycle end to end including processes for service outsourcing, hardware and software licensing, purchasing or renewal, and performance monitoring.
  • Good familiarity with Google Workplace tools and MS Office suite.
  • Experience with the Canadian regulatory requirements, policies and procedures for third party risk management would be a significant asset.
  • Experience in data analysis and in particular PowerBI exposure would be an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and documentation skills.
  • Must have excellent oral and written skills; including superior report writing and presentation skills.
  • Expected to be familiar with project implementation methodologies and project management.
  • Familiarity with trading systems, online brokerage business models, digital banking and digital mortgage business models.
