Summary Of Day To Day Responsibilities: Job Description:


• Vendor manager for the legal department to provide support for assigned vendor relationships in accordance with applicable frameworks, policies and standards.

• Duties will include:
o Maintain vendor records in accordance with Legal Department and client requirements
o Understand practices and procedures relating to managing vendor arrangements through all stages of the vendor lifecycle, in alignment with relevant frameworks, policies and standards
o Protect the interests of the organization - identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high-risk activities as necessary
o Contribute to vendor related operational activities (e.g. report production, system queries, process mapping, specialized tracking, analysis and transactional procedural support) as assigned
o Focus on continuous improvements to facilitate entering into vendor arrangements
o Participate in working sessions and/or facilitate meetings to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal client partners and the vendor to ensure department requirements are met and objectives are aligned
o Support the onboarding of vendors and managing related documentation, including contracts
o Assists with reporting and compliance activities associated with various client policies
o Works closely with team members to support client Legal's external counsel management program
o Supports the execution of operational functions related to client Legal's third-party risk management program
o Partners closely with members of the Legal team and other shared services functions
o Assists with the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to maximize efficiencies
o Assists in creating appropriate training material, job aids and other forms of end user reference materials.
o Contributes to strategic initiatives and projects

Must Have:


• Vendor management experience - 5+ years

• MS Office proficiency

• Ability to adapt to new tasks to support operational requirements of the legal department

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Experience with vendor contracts

Nice To Have


• Coupa/Ariba experience

• Experience with legal service providers (law firms, eDiscovery, expert witnesses, consultants, etc)
