Senior Consultant – Smart Logistics/Automated Transport Systems – Connect Division – Toronto, Ontario, Canada
We are looking for a motivated Senior Consultant to join our team, with a primary focus on supporting our quickly growing Smart Logistics service line.
While having exact experience is not a requirement, we value candidates who demonstrate curiosity and enthusiasm for learning about robotics, automation and data analysis and working within new service lines.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our smart logistics projects while also contributing to our overall technology consulting practice.
Currently we are leading Smart Logistics planning, design and construction services for hospitals across Canada. We are committed to revolutionizing the way materials are transported, enhancing efficiency, safety, and overall operational excellence.We have aspirations for geographical expansion and diversification into other industries in the foreseeable future including automated storage and distribution solutions.

At HH Angus we support your career development to help you achieve your professional goals.Perform extensive analysis to assess the impact on operations (workstreams such as supplies, linen services, food services, waste carts, etc.) Conduct feasibility studies and complete business cases analyzing Smart Logistics technologies to demonstrate the viability of automated approaches and determine optimized solutions based on hospital needs and priorities and undertake business cases.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deliverables and milestones are metDesign end-to-end conveyance solutions to meet client needs, drawing upon subject matter experts to develop a comprehensive design
Facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions and design workshops to help extract current state and future state processes and design requirements
Support Building Information Model (BIM) activities and compliance with standards
Support the overall design and construction processes including submittal and compliance reviews
Manage ongoing relationships with vendors, partner firms, and consultants, helping to keep our practice at the leading edge of technology
Coordinate with architectural, vertical transportation, IMIT, electrical, mechanical, and structural teams to ensure an integrated design while protecting and integrating smart logistics requirements.
Maintain thorough documentation throughout the project lifecycle, including design rationale, decisions made, and project progress updates.Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare redevelopment, hospital operations or robotics/automation vendor implementation
Preference for experience with the logistics involved in healthcare operations or complex material flows in other environments
Preference for experience in the capital planning process for healthcare facilities
Relevant education or certification in their respective fields (e.g., architectural technology, engineering, nursing degree, support service certifications, etc.)
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and deliver projects on time and within budget.
