Network Automation Administrator
The Network Automation Administrator is an integral part of the London Drugs IT Team and is responsible for the deployment, maintenance and management of information systems. The responsibilities of this position are as follows:
- Preparing and carrying out plans for the maintenance and administration of systems.
- Reviewing materials for the development of user training, by the training department.
- Being responsible for the health of systems through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
- Responding and troubleshooting issues and problems discovered through monitoring.
- Supporting and providing appropriate material for the development of client support and first response procedures.
- Managing incidents, problems, changes, and requests.
- Providing estimates and track progress of assigned project work.
- Participating in projects involving upgrades to existing and the deployment of new systems.
- Delivering projects on time.
- Completion of a bachelor level degree program in Engineering, Science or Applied Science (Computing) or an equivalent combination of skills and experience. The ideal candidate would also have Cisco Certification.
- Understands the maintenance, deployment, and troubleshooting of information systems. This includes but is not limited to networking, virtualization, firewalls, cloud IaaS and PaaS.
- Experience with Cisco, VMware, Palo Alto; certifications an asset.
- Experience with Network Automation deployment and scripting; Ansible and nautobot is a definite asset.
- Experience with automated solutions using Python is a definite asset.
- Experience with ITSM based ticketing systems and DevOps is an asset.
- Previous experience in the retail industry is a definite asset.
