Operations Manager
Newfoundland Chocolate Company, a well-established privately owned manufacturing and retail business, is seeking an Operations Manager. Averaging 55-75 employees, our company is comprised of a production and packaging department, four retail locations including a café, a strong events calendar, custom and corporate sales, a wholesale division, and an E-Commerce Site.
Reporting to the CEO the Operations Manager will report on how the business is functioning, oversee and develop policies to align with the company goals.
In Particular:
- Implement and maintain processes, including software and POS Systems, used to function everyday and communicate the same to all departments
- Assist with the development of key performance goals for individual departments, communicate such goals and provide direct support to managers
- Monitor our inventory to ensure we are utilizing our inventory effectively, maintaining production levels to ensure adequate product supply across all departments and maintaining stock levels at our retail stores and distributions centre
- Work closely with Department Managers to communicate job expectations, review job contributions, and resolve personnel issues
- Manage Relationships with Key Operations Vendors, ensuring adequate product and ingredient supply to meet production demands
- Facilities Management
The successful candidate should be familiar with all areas of business to coordinate processes and operations across the organization. An ideal candidate would have experience in the Retail sector, across multiple locations and 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.
