Loss Prevention Agents
Our Loss Prevention Agents protect and maintain the company assets while securing a safe environment for our clients and associates, this includes (but is not limited to) the following responsibilities:
- Open and close the store as scheduled following all Holt Renfrew procedures
- Perform assigned operational and inventory control audits along with follow up to ensure compliance
- Support Operation(s) and Sales team(s) with inventory counts, shortage programs and unsaleable articles
- Perform routine floor walks and inspections to maintain business continuity and integrity
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Observe and dispatch by monitoring CCTV systems
- Conduct internal and external investigations as required
- Apprehend shoplifters while maintaining all elements of proof and precise investigation notes and documentation
- Testify at criminal proceedings as appropriate
- Comply with all Health & Safety policies and requirements
- Respond to any/all emergencies providing first aid and/or security procedures as necessary following up with detailed reporting
- Act as an advocate for Health and Safety in the store by attending monthly meetings, sharing with store team(s) and new hires.
- Perform other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate:
- Has at least 1 year minimum of experience working in a high paced Loss Prevention and/or Safety & Security role along with working knowledge of a retail environment
- Must produce upon hire, hold, and maintain in good standing; a valid provincial security license
- Must produce upon hire, hold, and maintain in good standing; a valid standard first aid, CPR, and AED certificate(s)
- Understands that providing a great customer experience and being approachable are key attributes as a luxury retail partner
- Previous investigative and interview training an asset
- Problem solving and de-escalation skills an asset
- Maintains clear field notes and daily communication logs
- Maintains thorough, clear, and precise investigation reports

- Témoigner lors d'une procédure pénale, le cas échéant
- Se conformer à toutes les politiques et exigences en matière de santé et de sécurité
- Répondre à toutes les urgences en fournissant des premiers soins et/ou des procédures de sécurité, le cas échéant, en faisant le suivi avec des rapports détaillés
- Agir à titre de défenseur de la santé et de la sécurité dans le magasin en participant à des réunions mensuelles, en communiquant avec les équipes du magasin et les nouveaux employés.
- Effectuer les autres tâches assignées
Le(la) candidat(e) idéal(e):
- Possède au moins 1 an d'expérience dans un poste de prévention des pertes et/ou de santé et sécurité à un rythme soutenu, ainsi que des connaissances pratiques d'un environnement de vente au détail
- Doit détenir, au moment de l'embauche, un permis de sécurité provincial valide en règle et le conserver
- Doit détenir, au moment de l'embauche, un certificat de premiers soins, de RCP et de DAE standard valide et le conserver
- Comprend que fournir une expérience client exceptionnelle et être accessible sont des attributs clés en tant que partenaire de vente au détail de luxe
- Formation antérieure aux enquêtes et aux entrevues, un atout
- Compétences de résolution de problèmes et d'apaisement, un atout
- Conserve des notes de terrain claires et des registres de communication quotidiens
- Maintient des rapports d'enquête complets, clairs et précis
