The Opportunity: 
The role reports to the Director of Revenue Operations and provides support to sales teams in all business units.  This role is based in Waterloo, Canada.  The successful candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and possess a broad understanding of sales compensation plans.  The role will provide operational support and analysis regarding headcount, integrating acquisitions, special revenue operations projects and be a primary interface between revenue operations and variable compensation.

  
Responsibilities include ensuring corporate sales comp planning processes are understood, communicated, and practiced.  In addition, includes being responsible for continuous sales comp process improvement initiatives centered around sales comp actuals and AE at the Centre initiatives.   


A critical success in this role will be the ability to provide efficient support to the sales organization, and, to communicate and work collaboratively with other groups across the global OpenText organization.

 

You are great at:

  • Be point person to communicate and address sales compensation plans.  Includes communicating plan design and structure, analysis/verification of performance data.
  • Compiling regular and ad hoc reports of key operational metrics
  • Compiling data from variant sources and systems to create effective reports to help management optimize business resources
  • Communicating cross functionally with different business lines to ensure departmental goals and objectives are clearly disseminated, understood, managed, and tracked
  • Assisting in the compilation and delivery of information that sales leadership will use to run the business, including sales headcount and performance.
  • Identify areas where processes need to be automated and/or streamlined and lead those initiatives.
  • Communicate key information and analysis to global sales management.
  • Represent the team on cross-functional projects, such as integrations, system changes and new compensation processes.  Ensure that new processes or requirements are vetted by the team and lead any change management initiatives such that they are in the team’s scope and fully integrated post-project.
  • Learning and administering new systems to drive growth and scalability. 


What it takes: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience specializing in Business Administration, Financial Analysis, Accounting or other business-related technical field
  • 5+ years overall experience in business analysis, financial analysis, and/or metrics and reporting 
  • Thorough experience using Microsoft Excel 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings. Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent understanding of process management improvement practices, analytical tools, and practical application for results. 
  • Must have experience working closely with senior executives.
  • Previous sales compensation experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with Anaplan as asset.
